We begin our dining tour of Surry Hills at Eileen’s Bar - part of the Four Pillars gin distillery empire. Positioned on a tree lined street edged by cycle paths. The latest in modern architecture is juxtaposed by grand Victorian terraces dressed in filigree and greenery. With cuisines from Italy and the Middle East we are spoiled for choice in this part of inner-city Sydney. The main streets of this precinct are a mix of commercial and residential buildings. Elegant restored pubs stand next to on-trend cafes with street seating and restaurants with secret lush courtyards hidden out back. Favoured by professional creatives and locals for breakfast, lunch and dinner there is always a new special or cocktail to discover.  There’s a relaxed vibe with fabulous fashion and interior store windows competing for our eye as we stroll down Crown Street talking in the scene.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the starting point for each dining tour near public transport? Yes all of our starting points are no more than a 10 minute walk from a train station or bus stop.

Are you able to cater for special dietary needs? Yes as long as you tick the appropriate box in the bookings form we are able to cater for most dietary requests including: vegetarian, allergies, gluten intolerance and dairy intolerance.

*Any extra beverages - alcoholic or non-alcoholic - need to paid for separately from the bill.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? Because we are visiting licensed drinking establishments our dining walks are only for 18+ aged guests, unless otherwise negotiated prior during the booking process. If traveling with young adults make sure they bring relevant ID in case they are asked for it as New South Wales has strict licensing laws.

What if we want to go on a Surry Hills Dining Tour on another night of the week? If we have availability we are flexible about which night we go where. Choose a date that suits you best from our available evenings of Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and we will send you a link to book that date. Saturdays are only available by special arrangement.

What should I wear? Although Sydney is a casual & relaxed city we encourage our guests to dress for dinner as we will be dining in some pretty trendy places.

What shoes should I wear? Leave the Lady Gaga heels at home as we will be walking between venues so comfy shoes are best!

What is the difference between a group and a private booking?

Group bookings include all of the above and other travelers may join the group with a maximum of ten guests per group.
Private bookings are only for your crew and we will throw in the option of an Uber pick-up from your inner city hotel and a local food gift for each person at the end of the evening.
