We are excited to announce the addition of The Velvet Glove to our Darlinghurst dining experience. Nestled on the edge of Darlinghurst, boasting a view of the iconic Coke Sign, this swanky restaurant offers a truly unique dining experience with a short but sophisticated menu, well-crafted cocktails and a thoughtfully curated wine list. Step into a beautiful Art Deco inspired dining room with marble surfaces, low lighting and plush velvet furniture, via a discreet entrance-way off Darlinghurst Road and William Street
A recent comment on Insta’ from the lovely Heidi, reminded us just how much our guests enjoy our dining tours! Her family of six adults booked our Surry Hills Tour last October via one of our trusted Travel Partners. On the night we met in the foyor of the eternally elegant Shangri-la Sydney before whisking our guests off to Toei our new Korean / Japanese find located on the border of Surry Hills and Darlinghurst.
The transformation of the grand terrace house corner spot into The Waratah is a delightful celebration of Australiana, blending culinary expertise with artistic flair. Natural elements have been incorporated into the design, from the Waratah light-box shining onto Victoria Street, to the hand-painted flora ceiling mural echoing the beauty of Australian landscapes in the urban setting of uptown Darlinghurst.
It’s time to change-it-up in time for summer by adding Vermuteria - a modern day homage to old-school European wine and aperitivo bars - to our Potts Point Dining Tour repertoire. The warm, red neon lite room is located on the former site of Cafe Hernandez, a 24-hour Spanish Cafe that lived at the site for 50 years, on the lower half of Kings Cross Road.
Our newest addition to our Darlinghurst Dining Tour is Fortuna restaurant, located on the Darlo end of Victoria Street. Modern and stylish this dining room offers a unique and contemporary experience. The interior is elegant and sophisticated, featuring a fresh minimalist design with black and white décor, sleek furniture, and a beautiful lighting scheme that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Featuring street art and by-fold windows, opening out onto the street. Ideal on a hot summers evening for great people watching opportunities and soaking-up the laid-back Sydney vibe.
We have a new player onboard for our Darlinghurst dining tours: introducing Bar Nina on the corner of Crown & Stanley Streets. Right smack in the middle of East Sydney the restaurant opened in April 2021 - mere months before Lockdown 2.0 kicked-in. We had intentions of popping-down to check-out the menu and vibe but Rona got in the way. So it was lovely to finally go there recently for a Saturday afternoon rose & oysters and discover that yes this is a place we definitely want to bring our guests!
