Going Private

Going Private

This month, we’re excited to unveil a new chapter: The Sydney Connection now exclusively offers Private Tours, immersing guests in Sydney's vibrant dining scene with tailored experiences for you and your loved ones. By focusing solely on private tours, we can now offer added perks like a city hotel transfer to the first venue, where your guide will meet you in the foyer for a warm introduction to Sydney en route to your first cocktail of the evening. Guests will enjoy our signature format: a four-course set menu with matching wines and engaging stories and anecdotes from your local guide about Sydney’s history, people, and restaurants.

New Player | bei

New Player | bei

Our newest addition to the Darlinghurst Dining Tour is bei bar and bistro restaurant, located in the iconic Taylor Square precinct, the heart of Darlo. The concept for Bei Bar & Bistro was conceived during a leisurely bike ride. Chef Felix Rutz, in collaboration with his partner Leigh Cholakos, was struck with inspiration as he pedaled past the vacant space next to the Oxford Hotel. Set in the ground floor of a historic early modernist building from 1923, the restaurant offers prime people-watching real estate overlooking the bustling square, showcasing the charm of a bygone era.

New Player | Vermuteria

New Player | Vermuteria

It’s time to change-it-up in time for summer by adding Vermuteria - a modern day homage to old-school European wine and aperitivo bars - to our Potts Point Dining Tour repertoire. The warm, red neon lite room is located on the former site of Cafe Hernandez, a 24-hour Spanish Cafe that lived at the site for 50 years, on the lower half of Kings Cross Road.

 Christmas Gin by Four Pillars

Christmas Gin by Four Pillars

Last week we tried the amazing new Christmas Gin from Four Pillars Gin whilst on our Surry Hills dining tour with a lovely American couple. There is a sweet story behind the making of this spirit each Christmas. This gin is Cam’s tribute to four things he loves: Australia, Christmas, gin and his late mum, Wilma.

New Player | Eileen's Bar

New Player | Eileen's Bar

We are very excited to announce that we will be kicking off our Surry Hills dining walks at Eileen's bar, from now on! The bar is located above Four Pillars Sydney Lab + Gin store on Crown Street, serving beautifully-crafted gin cocktails that showcase the ever-growing Four Pillars range. Hosting regular cocktail-making/education classes where a gin still - named Eileen of course - sits elegantly in the corner.

Honkas Cocktails and Dumplings Class

Honkas Cocktails and Dumplings Class

We love it when our friends win raffle prizes and ask us along as their guest! In this case it was a fabulous cocktail making class followed by a Dumpling making class at Honkas - Bar + Eats in Potts Point. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon creating a Lychee Martini followed by the House Special of a PoPo Trio - Gin, Sake, Cucumber - with other cocktail-making virgins. After you have made a tray of dumplings you get to relax in the courtyard with a wine or two whilst the kitchen cooks-up your creations three ways: steamed, fried or deep-fried. They all turned out super yummy even if some of ours looked a little wonky!

Great to kick-off the new year with a booking - from one of our fave regulars - of Potts Point. Jennifer has come to three of our four Crafty Dining events and is a fierce advocate for The Sydney Connection.
